well di leader dem at least...I was reading something the other day and in the article about a premie baby that died...it said that there r only 4 VENTILATORS for premature babiues in all the country...now after reading this there was understandable gratitude for my life and my daughters life...but then a question came to mind...all the hotels roads, and stadiums that r being built have taken precidence over the health sector.... the i thought back to that BIG BALL like structure that was the biggest "investment" some years ago rund world cup time and i wonder...how many ventilators did the country have then????... its debatable what the exact cause of jamaics state is but me...i think wasting the budget on frivolity as opposed to takin care of the people plays a huge part...
UR THOUGHTS!!!!

I agree with you that there are things such as, medical equipments should take precedent over building roads etc. One thing I know for sure is that we do not priortize, we just do things as we see fit or told to. The Minister of Health, has a duty to protect the lives of citizens. Lets hope and pray that this topic will be dealth with sooner than later. Stay blessed!

well Cryss...i understand what your saying and you make perfect sense...but
It may seem like the people are not the government's top priority, because of the lack of ventilators available and the development in these "other structures" But the government is seeking to invest in sectors that will eventually bring back revenue or open the gate for more opportunity.

the government cannot afford to jeopardise the economy because of one sector.

I really see what ur saying jay I do...but tell me this do u really think its a fair trade...I mean with all the "investment ventures" that take place there is never even half those efforts being put into the homebased supporters of said econnomy... It is with realiztions like this that will prompt the educated and possible contributors to the countries private sector economy to go elsewhere, they realise that their welbeing and livelihood are being compromised with insufficient returns (ie: its not worth it for them...if they cant see what it is the sacrifice brings)
