About Me

I am a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a student, a Christian, a teacher, a Social Psychologist, a friend, a lover, a believer, a dreamer, and an optimist. I believe in people but I believe we are all capable of good and evil. I do not expect too much of people because I know not one of us is perfect. It also protects me from being disappointed. I love being with friends and family and as such having a social network is one of my greatest joys. Well....Mel and I have been friends since we were 4 yrs old, almost everyday we would walk through that scary shortcut back and forth to each others' houses to study, talk or just hang out together. I would've really hurt someone for this girl she's like family to me. Now that I think about it most of my stories growing up include Melissa in one way or another, that's how long she's been in my life. I've always hoped to be as smart and focused she is, always striving for the best.
Mel I'm so proud of you and who you've grown into, and even though we lost touch for sometime and I wasn't able to share some of your greatest moments with you, it definitely made me realize how much you mean to me... We've come from so far and I'll never forget that. Just know that no matter what, I'll always be here. Love ya Mel!

I have known Mel for most of her life, she has always been interested in improving her life no matter what her circumstances bring, that kind of perseverance is what all of us need to succeed. She knows that people bring the most meaning to one's life. MEL: I can't remember if I have said it to you but this is as good a forum as any--I am very, very proud of who you are. I have seen you grow throw a lot of difficult situations, sometimes not having all the support you needed but listen, now you know that there is only one being you truly need to succeed and as long as you position your heart to be guided by that one and only---there is no stopping you. Keep pursuing your current goals and do not stop developping new ones. You deserve nothing less than the best in any area of your life. You are not going to make it-----YOU ALREADY HAVE!!

Mel is a great friend of mine. I've known her since childhood. She's fun - loving and one of those people that you just love to be around. She has always been there for me in good times and bad, and I love her dearly. Anytime she's in ja I have to live at her yard or else is pure cussing.............distance never keeps us apart...............she's my girl for life.

Sue-Boo, You know I love you!!!! Anybody need advice? See Melissa. Mi a tell unno you know, this girl is my conscience. God sent her in my life to set me straight, and I love her for it. He also sent her to amuse me, cause a per joke!!!!! Me and mel has been friends since grade 7, and i love her today as i did then. Mel has been there for me through all of my crazy phases. Always disapproving, but there nevertheless. and thats why i love her. Cause homegirl loves me unconditionally!!!!
Mel is amazing. You know how most people look up their parents and say "I want to be just like mommy/daddy". Nah, I want to be just like Melissa. I am very proud of you and off all your accomplishments. I love your daughter as if she were my own.
Thanks for being you sweetheart!!!!

Even though I was born an only child, I grew up seeing sisters, and Melsue is definitely one of them. Mel has been one of my best friends since the beginning of time. One of Mel’s greatest attributes is her soul –she has the sweetest soul I have ever seen. I will never forget the time I was sick and she called me crying, instantly I started crying as well, and there we were like two fools bawling, but you know what, that is love. I absolutely admire the way she sees life and even though we have gotten into arguments for her perceptions on life, I would never ever change that about her, I believe its one of the rare qualities that makes her so beautiful. We have learnt from each other, supported each other through some serious transitions and have stuck it out. I remember when you just migrated to NY and we would write snail mail letters almost everyday to each other for years until we resorted to emails (I still have all your emails, cards and pictures by the way, I am a sentimental junky as much as you are) – we kept ‘us’ going despite the distance and the challenges associated with it. Mel loves like a mother, an older sister and a protective best friend (she is younger than me by the way). She is an excellent mommy and I will always look up to your strength and the manner in which you have approached your obstacles. Even though we live oceans away, this is one friendship worth working for cause I don’t know where I would ever find another Dr. MelSue Angus-John! She is a true blessing, a gem I will always treasure. Love you girl.

Mel Sue is a sweetheart...we r coming all the way from Holy Childhood days. I give Mel nuff props and this is something that I tell her all the time...she is truly one of the strongest women I have ever met. She looks adversity in the face and greets it with a smile...she is truly blessed and slef-driven. I don't expect anything less than success and prosperity from Melissa in all aspects of her life!

I was once living very close to the Anguses and I went to school with Rose-anne. I must say I never thought I would ever hear about either of you two again. I knew from the start that you would become very intelligent women....even though I felt sometimes we lived in very different neighbourhoods, you being all stoosh and thing....but it's always good to see women excel...especially when they went to CUNY..right on...hope to link with you one day though.

I have known this young lady from high school and to this day she has remained a sweet girl. She has really blossomed into a fantansic young mother, wife and lady. I am most impressed with her educational advancement. Full scholarship to do her doctorate...WOW!!!! Most excellent!!
